Amy is a Private Client Director and Head of Duncan & Toplis Legal Services.
Amy is a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP), having passed her STEP qualifications with distinction in January 2021. In 2026, Amy led the team to secure a nomination for Probate Provider of the Year - North and Midlands at the British Wills and Probate Awards.
Amy works closely with our tax advisory team to ensure we are able to offer a wraparound service for our clients. This extends to drafting Lasting Powers of Attorney for our clients to ensure they are also protected through their lifetime.
Amy has experience of administering estates of all sizes and complexities but typically advises on high-value estates involving Business Property Relief, Agricultural Property Relief and foreign assets. She also undertakes trust work, including drafting trust deeds and advising on estate planning arrangements for individuals, families and business owners.
Amy advises on succession planning, trusts, estate administration and wealth preservation strategies, often working closely with accountants, tax advisers and other professional advisers to deliver coordinated outcomes on succession planning, inheritance tax mitigation and the protection of wealth across generations.
